We have an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Solutions Specialist (Telecoms) to join a well-funded Irish tech organisation on an exciting trajectory of growth. You will have the opportunity to work closely with R&D and Operations, supporting the day-to-day operation providing technical expertise and knowledge to the team and to clients.

Role & Requirements:

  • Monitor and maintain company computer system.
  • Install sim cards in devices.
  • Add APN details to devices. Set up user login details in the back-office system and test devices before they are delivered to the customer.
  • Ensure all devices are prepared for deployment.
  • Diagnose software and hardware faults.
  • Complete monthly stocktake.
  • Receive and log feedback, identify users’ needs and requirements, and mobilise existing technology to meet customer criteria.
  • Complete diagnostics of broken and damaged devices.
  • Follow instructions, either written or in diagram format to set up a device or fix a fault.
  • Write up weekly reports.
  • Support the larger technical team.
  • Installation and configuration of software onto Android, iPhone & PC devices.
  • Provide technical support to end-users with occasional on-site support (expenses covered).
  • Work with CTO to expand the range of devices offered to customers.
  • Visit new customers to scope out customer requirements.
  • Monitor and test systems, equipment and troubleshoot problems.
  • Respond to customer tickets and queries in a timely fashion.
  • Analysis of call logs to discover any underlying issues or trends.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a telecommunications specialist.
  • Experience in monitoring and carrying out technical support functions.
  • Hands-on experience with all peripheral equipment (e.g. computer networks, data modems, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of Android and iOS operating systems and application configuration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Capacity to clearly explain technical solutions to customers/colleagues.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office.
  • Must have a full, clean driving license and own transport.
