Job description

My client based in North Wicklow are seeking a Receptionist / Administrator to join their busy team. The role is based in a secondary school so the candidate must have strong administration skills, have the ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Duties will include but are not limited:

  • Receptionist duties – prompt answering of the phone. Accurate and prompt transfer of calls and messages, greeting visitors, managing deliveries, sorting mail, photocopying, arranging couriers, taxis and other Reception related tasks.
  • Ensure the Reception and Meeting rooms are kept presentable and welcoming for visitors
  • Coordinate meeting rooms
  • Order, monitor and control of stationery
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Liaise with Cleaning and Security Contractors
  • Administration of the Garda Vetting process in the school
  • Provide administrative support to the Headmaster and other school staff
  • Assist with / organise school events and staff functions
  • Data entry – VS Ware, Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Other ad-hoc administration duties as required.

The successful applicant must have the following:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a similar administrative role
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point)
  • A high skill set in typing is required
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within a busy environment and prioritise accordingly
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

Hours of work: Monday –> Friday; 8.30am – 5.00pm

Salary – €30,000 – €35,000. DOE
