Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Qualified Accountant to join their practice in County Wexford on a full-time permanent basis. The position offers a competitive salary depending on experience, flexible working hours, a hybrid working module, and free parking.

In addition to preparing financial statements and providing advice and support to clients, the successful candidate must ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. A strong understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills are required for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax
  • Manage and maintain financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, the general ledger, and bank reconciliations
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide recommendations to clients
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to help clients achieve their financial goals
  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and standards
  • Provide financial advice and support to clients, including managing budgets and forecasting future financial performance
  • Use accounting software and financial reporting tools to generate financial reports

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with at least 3 years of experience in a practice setting.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and financial reporting tools
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
