Storm Recruitment are seeking a Production Supervisor for their client based in Naas, Co, Kildare. The role is a 24/7 shift structure with a Salary ranging from 42k-57k per annum (due to 30% premium).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Management of Production Lines:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations of production lines.
    • Maximize production capacity and optimize the use of resources.
  2. Leadership and Support:
    • Provide knowledge, motivation, and support to team leaders and operators.
    • Encourage a team effort and supportive attitudes among operatives.
  3. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure adherence to correct procedures and good manufacturing practices.
    • Promote a safe working environment.
  4. Quality and Targets:
    • Meet required quality and production targets.
    • Report any issues to the quality department promptly.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Conduct spot or continuous checks to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.
  6. Training and Development:
    • Share knowledge with team members.
    • Identify training needs and support the building of succession within the business.
  7. Communication and Conflict Resolution:
    • Escalate concerns and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
    • Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues in conjunction with Management & HR.
  8. Health and Safety:
    • Drive a culture of excellent adherence to health and safety.
    • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
  9. KPIs and Business Goals:
    • Meet all targets and measure/review KPIs to achieve the business plan.
    • Work with internal ERP software (Insight).
  10. Flexibility:
    • Work as part of a rotating team across days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
    • Assist with scheduling holidays and overtime.
  11. Record Keeping:
    • Maintain quality records and take ingredient samples for quality analysis.
  12. Motivation and Organization:
    • Motivate, coach, and organize teams to maximize effectiveness.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a production supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance regulations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift structure.
  • Familiarity with ERP software, preferably Insight.
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends.
