Storm Recruitment are seeking a Production Supervisor for their client based in Naas, Co, Kildare. The role is a 24/7 shift structure with a Salary ranging from 42k-57k per annum (due to 30% premium).
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of Production Lines:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of production lines.
- Maximize production capacity and optimize the use of resources.
- Leadership and Support:
- Provide knowledge, motivation, and support to team leaders and operators.
- Encourage a team effort and supportive attitudes among operatives.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure adherence to correct procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Promote a safe working environment.
- Quality and Targets:
- Meet required quality and production targets.
- Report any issues to the quality department promptly.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct spot or continuous checks to ensure compliance with technical and quality requirements.
- Training and Development:
- Share knowledge with team members.
- Identify training needs and support the building of succession within the business.
- Communication and Conflict Resolution:
- Escalate concerns and respond to employee queries in a timely manner.
- Address employee grievances and disciplinary issues in conjunction with Management & HR.
- Health and Safety:
- Drive a culture of excellent adherence to health and safety.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
- KPIs and Business Goals:
- Meet all targets and measure/review KPIs to achieve the business plan.
- Work with internal ERP software (Insight).
- Flexibility:
- Work as part of a rotating team across days, evenings, nights, and weekends.
- Assist with scheduling holidays and overtime.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain quality records and take ingredient samples for quality analysis.
- Motivation and Organization:
- Motivate, coach, and organize teams to maximize effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Previous experience in a production supervisory role.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality assurance regulations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a 24/7 shift structure.
- Familiarity with ERP software, preferably Insight.
- Flexibility to work across different shifts, including weekends.
