Process Engineer (Permanent)

Essential – 4 years Process Engineering experience

Overview

Our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Process Engineer to support a high-volume, fully automated manufacturing environment. This role focuses on process development, troubleshooting, maintenance, and continuous improvement of production processes and equipment within the assigned area. You will play a key role in driving efficiency, innovation, and quality across manufacturing operations while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and evaluate manufacturing equipment and processes, including innovative fixture and jig design with scalability in mind
• Become the subject matter expert for assigned processes
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean / Six Sigma and project management methodologies
• Identify problem areas and opportunities, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to implement solutions
• Support Quality activities including non-conformances, customer complaints, and CAPA investigations
• Liaise with external equipment manufacturers and suppliers on design and development of equipment and fixtures
• Manage projects related to product and equipment development
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, including risk assessments
• Partner with R&D teams to provide Design for Manufacture (DFM) input on new product development
• Support operations by optimising existing processes to meet production and engineering targets

Requirements

Minimum 4 years’ experience in process engineering within a regulated manufacturing environment

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
Strong background in process optimisation and Design of Experiments (DOE)
Experience with high-speed automation environments

Desirable Skills

Experience with vision systems (e.g., Cognex)
Knowledge of pick-and-place operations and form-fill-seal processes
Experience in test equipment fixture design and technical documentation
