Our client based in Bray is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team, the Logistics Coordinator is the primary person responsible for the movement of material into and out of the facility.

This role is pivotal in ensuring the manufacturing plant has the right materials at the right time and ensuring customers receive their deliveries of the finished product at the right time in the right place and accompanied by the right paperwork.

Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Prioritise dispatch of customer orders to meet promised dates.
  • Instil a consistent sense of urgency over product dispatch on time , in full and right first time.
  • Communicate constantly with Purchasing, Production Planning, Production, Quality Assurance External Contract Manufacturers and Warehousing to ensure that the correct materials and finished goods are where they should be , when they should be .
  • Liaise with customer and external hauliers to expedite dispatch of goods to a predetermined and planned dispatch schedule.
  • Keep all relevant parties constantly informed as to arrival and dispatch schedules and any deviations from same. Pro-actively update and communicate these schedules in a real time manner each day.
  • Develop a cohesive process to ensure customer satisfaction with their inbound logistics from us.

Candidate requirements:

  • Planning / Administration experience essential (3 years plus)
  • Must have strong communication skills and the ability to forward plan.
  • Must be proactive and have the ability to make changes if necessary
  • Positive, ‘can do’ attitude, interpersonally effective with the ability to influence people positively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good IT skills, Microsoft office.
  • Ability to work efficiently under a fast-paced environment.
