Storm Recruitment is delighted to be working with one of Ireland’s leading software companies. With their headquarters based in Dublin City Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a new college graduate with 1-2 years’ experience in IT support.

Basic proficiency in the following technical areas:

  • Setting up, troubleshooting, and installing software for laptops (Apple & Dell), desktops (Dell), and corporate/BYOD mobile devices (IOS/Android) with standard peripherals.
  • Operating system usage and administration: Mac OSX/IOS, Windows, and Linux Ubuntu.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, supporting and troubleshooting in corporate and remote user setups, including LAN, WAN, and VPN setups globally.
  • Troubleshooting various client, mobile, and cloud applications such as Microsoft Office, Google Apps, Browsers, Salesforce, etc.
  • Understanding of operating system and application security models, including permissions and user access.
  • Handling access management and provisioning for new hires and terminations.
  • Familiarity with file transfer and Web Services Integrations.
  • Capability to learn a programming language (PL/SQL, JavaScript, Java, Apex, VisualForce, etc) and database administration (SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Using dashboards and reports for daily operations and ad hoc queries.

Basic understanding in the following process areas:

  • Adhering to security policies and corporate best practices.
  • Familiarity with customer and technical support processes.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and financial processes.
  • Awareness of ITIL, Software Release Management, and process improvement practices with internal and external partners.
  • Collaborating with senior team members for learning, assistance, and escalation.
  • Quick adaptability to new technology and business needs in a fast-paced, dynamic global environment.
  • Assisting in training team members formally and informally.
  • Basic skills in customer support, tackling simple problems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable interacting via different channels (face-to-face, phone, email, chat, social media).
  • Familiar with common concepts, practices, and procedures in systems administration, capable of resolving routine issues.
