Our client based in Bray are seeking an experienced front office manager to join their team on a full time permanent basis. €35k – €40k DOE

*Please note there is shift work involved including weekends)

Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for overseeing the entire front office operation of The Hotel, to maintain high standards, quality of service and an exceptional customer experience
  • To lead and manage the reception team, liaise with and guide the accommodation managers and maintenance department daily to ensure that potential issues are dealt with in a controlled manner.
  • Work with the front office team to ensure all guests have a positive experience
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure booking information is shared and accurate
  • Coordinate with the reservation partners regarding room rates and ensure occupancy and revenue are always maximised
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the team with an emphasis on training and teamwork. Ensure that all team members have current knowledge of hotel products, processes, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area and amenities.
  • Maintain and deploy good communication and working relationships with the various departments
  • 12-24 months experience in a similar role
  • Experience using Hotsoft PMS would be preferred but not essential.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to oversee and delegate work to others.
  • A warm, friendly and approachable personality when dealing with fellow staff and guests
  • The ability to work well under pressure in a busy hotel environment, and deal with customer complaints
