We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our client’s team and play a key role in data-driven decision-making across all sectors in South Dublin. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data from various sources to provide valuable insights and recommendations.

The role is based in Dun Laoghaire South Co. Dublin, with a  hybrid working model with daily working hours from 9 am-5 pm. The role also offers a company pension and private health insurance.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse data from multiple sources, including databases, spreadsheets, and external platforms, to generate actionable insights and support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all areas to understand their data needs and develop analytical solutions to address business challenges.
  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and validation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business performance.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and correlations in the data to provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analysis to support strategic initiatives, such as market research, customer segmentation, and pricing optimization.
  • Work closely with the IT team to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and apply them to improve processes and deliverables.
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or a similar role, preferably in a multi-group or multinational organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and interpret complex data sets.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data querying languages, as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
  • Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and data management principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business questions into data analysis solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
