We are currently recruiting for a Customer Account Manager for our site client in Stillorgan. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing & implementing short and long-term customer relationship strategies which will be focused on growth and retention.
As a Customer Account Manager, you will ensure the quality of service with a view to retaining and developing existing customers by managing the team in the region assigned to them.
Key Responsibilities:
Support:
- Support the Distribution Manager and the team in the Industry tribe
- Ensure the fulfilment of tasks, objectives and adherence to procedures by checking with colleagues (Production, Stores, Transport), by following up on information originating from customers and by meeting the customers themselves.
- To perform route debriefings with their SA/drivers daily.
- Hold annual review meetings, define the collective and individual objectives and determine with the General Manager the salary increases.
Customer Relations:
- Respond to customer enquiries with preventative or corrective actions by identifying their needs and defending the interests of the company.
- Plan customer visits around renewals, add on sales and service issues.
- Monitor and regularly review regional customer debt, ensure debt issues are resolved swiftly and if necessary, place customers on suspension to aid in the resolution of debt issues.
- Ensure that procedures adhere to account openings or termination of business.
Moderating and managing business activities:
- Devise and implement all actions to assure the quality of service, increase sales and train and sensitise team members (CSO, SA) on the development of results and the commercial strategy of the company.
- Responsible for the development of commercial interactions (excluding national accounts) with the customer in that region.
- Responsible for driving continued growth for the Region.
- To support the General manager to design appropriate incentive plans for the department.
- Build strong internal relationships to ensure that customer retention is core to all our activities.
- Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the company’s existing customer base

- Proven track record in adding revenue to existing customer base
- Strong collaboration & influencing skills
- Ability to keep a cool head in heated situations
