My client based in Dundrum Shopping Centre is seeing a Cafe Manager to operate their new Café & Ice cream bar. This is an amazing opportunity for an experienced Café Manager to join my client’s team on their new and exciting venture!

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Manage the daily operations of our Café & Ice cream Bar, delivering a best-in-class customer experience for all customers.
  • Be responsible for ordering cafe beverages and supplies, stock taking, menu planning, and overall daily financial reporting.
  • Continued supervision of the Café & Ice cream bar offerings to ensure a high level is maintained.
  • Maintaining inventory and equipment by cleaning and troubleshooting and liaising with the service department when needed.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with social media for the store.
  • Recruiting, training, motivating, and supervising café staff.
  • Preparing weekly work schedules for staff, approving & submitting time sheets to HR, and finding suitable replacements in cases of staff absence.
  • Ensuring that all café expenses are within budget and identifying ways to decrease operational costs.
  • Receiving delivered café supplies and verifying that the correct items and quantities have been delivered.
  • Report around key KPIs on a weekly basis – Customer numbers, Sales figures & stock management to the financial team.
  • Opening & Closing

Skills desired:

  • Skills in both management and administration in order to lead a team, allocate resources and make intelligent decisions about the best strategies for running the Café .
  • Managerial experience working in the food or hospitality industry.
  • High level of specialty coffee experience
  • Customer service skills and knowledge
  • Minimum 3 Years Experience in a similar Role.
