We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager for our client based in Kildare, this role is both dynamic and multi-faceted.

The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience within the FMCG industry and that demonstrates success in consistently achieving strong sales results. The client is looking for an innovative, creative, and all-round passionate individual to join the sales team. This role includes international travel approximately once a month, as well as representing the company at trade shows.

The purpose of this role would be to work alongside the Head of Sales and Marketing to maximise sales growth and develop the European market. Catalysing growth by targeting new business opportunities within assigned customer base & introducing new strategic growth partners with clear direction for growth. Championing communication and ensuring all opportunities are explored and managed through to sales conversion.

Reports to:         Sales Director

Location:            Co. Kildare/Hybrid (3 days in office & 2 days remote)

Key Responsibilities:

Responsibilities associated with this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and expansion.
  • Identify opportunities for new business ventures, partnerships, and market penetration.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Cultivate partnerships to expand the company’s reach and market presence.
  • Manage sales pipelines and forecasting to track progress towards targets.
  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuously adapt strategies and tactics to capitalise on new opportunities and address changing market conditions.
  • Ideal candidate must be committed to travel within Europe approximately every 3 weeks based on business needs.
  • The ideal candidate should be capable of representing the company at trade shows.

 

Qualifications/ Experience/ Skills:

  • Third level education is desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience of sales/business management (within the food industry is a plus)
